VEYSONNAZ - TOUCHING THE GREPPON BLANC

THE RESORT
Veysonnaz is a small and quiet village where people take the time to meet. Only a 20 minutes’ drive from Sion, the capital of Valais, the resort is perched on a mountainside and offers a unique sunset over the Alps. The typical chalets exude a serene atmosphere, perfect for families or people looking for peacefulness.
The ski resort is part of the 400 km slopes of the 4 Vallées. Navigating between resorts has never been so easy with the guaranteed snow of 200 snow cannons lining the tracks.
For the season 2016, the famous Piste de l’Ours unveils a brand new telecabin for comfort and fast access.

THE SKIING
Often the first resort to open every winter in Valais, enjoy a ride on the legendary Piste de l’Ourse, known for its 30 ski World Cups, or get a tan in sunny Thyon.
Basic Skiing
This resort offers one of the greatest arrays of beginner slopes.
It is nearly impossible to cover them all in one afternoon, which makes for an entertaining couple of days for beginners.
The Trabanta chairlift takes you quickly to a series of wide and flat slopes where you can enjoy a terrific view of the Dent Blanche & the Matterhorn.
Exploring at your own pace
Veysonnaz & Thyon is the place to practice your carving turns. Les Chottes & La Muraz are considered by many to be ‘carving paradise’, as the terrain offers perfect conditions to safely learn and push your abilities.
You can also enjoy the sunny slope as you ski down to Caboulis Restaurant for a well-deserved lunch with a view overlooking the beautiful Rhone Valley.
Steep or Deep
If you are a brave experimented skier, you will have the chance to tame the beast of Valais: La Piste de l’Ours.
Qualified by many professional skiers as the nicest run in the world, this 3 km run cutting a path in the forest is an extraordinary descent through skiers heaven. Its northern exposure guarantees cold and hard packed snow conditions throughout the season. If you want to ski down on the tracks of legends, La Piste de l’Ours is calling.
For off-piste addicts, the l'Eteygeon itinerary offers great powder & mogul skiing as well as views at the barrage La Grande Dixence, the highest gravity dam in the world.
